Two Women Allege McManus Assaulted Them on Team Flight
McManus Denies Allegations, Denver Broncos Launch Investigation
NFL kicker Brandon McManus is facing allegations of sexual assault from two women who claim he assaulted them on a team flight to London last September.
The women, who have not been identified, filed a lawsuit against McManus and the Denver Broncos, his former team, in Denver District Court on Tuesday.
According to the lawsuit, the alleged assaults occurred on Sept. 29, 2022, during a flight from Denver to London for the Broncos' game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The women claim that McManus groped them and made unwanted sexual advances towards them.
McManus has denied the allegations and said he is "cooperating fully with the investigation."
The Broncos said in a statement that they are "aware of the allegations and are taking them very seriously."
"We have launched an internal investigation and are cooperating with the NFL's investigation," the statement said.
The NFL said in a statement that it is "aware of the allegations and is investigating the matter."
McManus is a 31-year-old placekicker who has played in the NFL since 2014.
He played for the Broncos from 2014 to 2021 and signed with the Commanders in 2022.
McManus is married and has two children.
