Marc Cucurella tells Sky Sports his future is at Brighton after winning Player of the Season
Brighton & Hove Albion full-back Marc Cucurella is committed to his future with the club despite speculation linking him with Manchester City this afternoon.
Cucurella was named Brighton's Player of the Season at the club's annual awards dinner on Monday night.
He had an impressive debut season with the Seagulls, making 38 appearances in all competitions and helping the club to finish ninth in the Premier League.
Cucurella, who has two years remaining on his contract with Brighton, refuted the speculation about his future.
"I've heard a lot of speculation about my future, but I'm happy at Brighton," he said.
"I'm focused on helping the team to have a good season and I'm not thinking about anything else."
Cucurella also spoke about the wigs worn by Brighton fans at Elland Road on Sunday.
"I thought it was great," he said.
"It's a great way to show your support for the team and I'm sure it helped us to get the win."
