With the win, the Orioles improved to 81-71 on the season and moved two games ahead of the Rays in the race for the final AL Wild Card spot. The Orioles have seven games remaining in the regular season, including three games against the Rays.

The Orioles will look to clinch a Wild Card berth when they host the Rays for a three-game series beginning on Friday. The Rays are currently 79-73 on the season and need to win at least two of the three games against the Orioles to keep their Wild Card hopes alive.
